The forthcoming 18th Doha Jewellery and Watches Exhibition (DJWE) is scheduled to take place from May 9 to 12 at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC) in West Bay. There will be over 500 brands on display where local designers, international brands and jewellery aficionados are all ready for the event’s return after a one-year break.

DJWE 2022 in Qatar to feature over 500 local and international brandsThe event will feature unique pieces by Qatari designers and the latest launches by international luxury brands. DJWE will reflect the cultural heritage of glamour and craftsmanship, and it will feature the successful Young Qatari designers. A gathering of jewellery aficionados, global brands, and aspiring designers, the event highlights exclusiveness, beauty, art, legacy, and unique craftsmanship, Qatar Tourism said on its website.

Registrants may register for the free event on Visit Qatar’s website. More than 65 exhibitors from more than 10 countries will be present at the 18th edition, along with 500 international brands; exclusive pavilions for Turkey and India with five and 18 exhibitors, respectively; and workshops featuring jewellery and watch experts. This year’s campaign features Indian actor Alia Bhatt.

Visit Qatar reports that previous editions had over 129 exhibitors from 14 countries, and 32,031 visitors from 175 countries attended. The exhibit last year was postponed due to the pandemic. It is one of two major events taking place this May in the country. The exhibition will precede a four-day Eid festival at Doha Corniche, featuring the country’s first giant balloon parade, marching bands, daily fireworks, carnival games, and food stalls. The event is being organized by the Qatar Business Events Corporation. Qatar National Bank (official bank sponsor), Qatar Airways (official airline partner), and Al Fardan Automotive (official car sponsor) are sponsors and partners of the event.
